My thoughts on Governor Mark Sanford's wife's predicament of being another political wife scorned:

She won't be the last. Right now, there are other elected officials, while committed to protecting marriage from homosexual whim and folly, are eagerly parking certain body parts into someone who isn't their spouse.

I have no names but they know who they are.

But what should one do when confronted with such rank hypocrisy and betrayal? Of course beyond releasing statements filled with religious piety and the therapeutic language of heartbreak.

Bawl over the reality that sometimes people can't comprehend what it means to be faithful in a marriage. Change the locks. Burn that motherfucker's shit. (But not in front of the children.) Most importantly, create an aural backdrop for the marital upheaval.

True, the institution of marriage has taken another heterosexual hit but it shouldn't be in silence. Because when it's too quiet is when the bitterest thoughts will pop into the brain. Is she prettier than me? Do you love her? Is the sex better? Does she not care that you pick your nose while watching TV? Or that you conveniently forget to flush the toilet? What? What is it that makes your lover so damn appealing?

See, it's just better to listen instead of thinking. A soundtrack for a scorned spouse.
