The Way We Were

on the road...

but need to say that
the director of one of my favorite movies died,

Sydney Pollack

(who also produced HBO's Recount which aired last night)

Can't completely articulate why I love the movie so much except to say that it reminds me of why sometimes it is hard to love and leave difficult, complicated women.

Here's my fave scene from the movie...going off to be a weepy girl now:

Not to rain on your parade but I didn't like the movie. I thought it was a wasted opportunity. It could have been a really good movie about the Hollywood blacklist, but instead it was about Robert Redford and Barbra Streisand's close-ups. They're cute but not as interesting as the Hollywood blacklist.

I gave up hope on this movie being about the Hollywood blacklist and decided to love it for the love story.
