by Alyosha Popovich on Daily Kos:
I had a conversation with my neighbor today. We talked a bit about the democratic race and she told me she voted for Clinton. She was now going to vote for McCain. Not out of spite, but out of fear. She said she wouldn't vote for the black guy, but she isn't racist. And I doubt she is. The issue is much bigger. She said she wouldn't vote for Obama because somehow it would make blacks be the privileged citizens. She said she was afraid to vote for a black person because Obama would put blacks above whites when deciding on issues like taxes and welfare.
First... WTF? Doesn't this person know that it would take Obama two Presidential terms (at least) before African Americans could benefit from his secret plan to make sure blacks are granted all the privileges that all White Americans automatically enjoy.
Second, isn't it funny that certain Americans are terrified of the thought that an Obama presidency means that African Americans would get privileges that for the longest time certain Americans pretended that AAs didn't need because America isn't a racist and/or unfair country? I haven't thought of the appropriate code word to describe this type of logic. The best I could come up with is DUMB.
Third, this is the mindset Hillary Clinton is embracing as the reason for her to remain in the race. Instead of helping this woman (and others who think like her) possibly rethink her racist, backward opinion, Hillary Clinton chooses...well Saturday Night Live described it best:

Sometimes America scares me. Seriously.
I'm embarrassed for anyone who thinks like this.
Feel sorry for the world they live in where they let their racism stand in the way of any kind of progress.
I'm not saying that Obama is the second coming but I do hope and pray that he would be a better President than the increasingly out of touch McCain.
Until Hillary started her embrace of whites who would rather be racist than sentient, engaged citizens...
I would have supported her to make sure that McCain and the slimeous turd Joe Lieberman were kept from having any kind of power.
This reminds me of those men from the so-called "Men's" movement who are convinced women are "taking away rights" from men. I could psychoanalyze this stuff as people's guilt leading them to exaggerate the aggression of those whom they have persecuted. Probably it's not that deep though.
I just ran smack into this in my morning email. I posted it if you feel like having your stomach turned.
